Going Forward




Ok, so I think I did really good last week. I did watch what I ate better than usual and I walked 2 miles 5 days in a row, and I walked 2 miles this morning, so I am moving forward with the challenge. Feeling good about all of it. Love you all you beautiful girls! Mom

I didn't check in yesterday (Hay)

This week has been awesome.. I have ran and rode my bike every single day except I did not run on mom's bday haha. I feel great and I have gotten a little more tan as well! I feel like the tanner I get the skinnier I look haha but that isn't true.. DANGIT ;) I did pretty dang good on the diet part this past week too except mom's bday was an exception. This next week is CALIFORNIA and I think I am not going to worry about what I eat really, I am just going to try to exercise every day. I already ran this morning while mom walked and I plan to ride my bike as well today so it is a good start to the week. Mollie I will help you do your challenge too by exercising with you. We all need to take advantage of the beach/boardwalk this week and exercise in the land of beauty!! So let's go early in the morning every morning and we will walk/run while either Bart and dad watch the kids or maybe one of my friends haha. ;) Anywho, have a great week and do NOT forget your goals! California Challenge...

I feel as if this week will be a great one. And since we did pretty good last week (you all and your peavine adventures!) we should try to be healthy this week too. OR NOT!!!
It is entirely up to you.

I am going to try to eat as healthy as I can on the trip and exercise hopefully everyday. But that is only because I have a wedding in 2 weeks and I really want to reach some goals.

Do what you feel is right. Just remember tho...

End of week!


Well, it's the end of the week for me walking. I really challenged myself this week walking 2 miles every day! Down at the PeaVine Trail. It's a dirty job but I had to do it. Tomorrow I will be 57 and I am taking the day off!!! So here's for something a little more pretty to look at! This is what I want my front porch bench to look like! Love, Mom

Check Innnn (Hay)

So... like... umm... I wrote down everything I ate for yesterday (Saturday) and it made me more conscious of what I was eating. It is definitely hard to travel and eat healthy, but it is definitely possible. I didn't really know what to go without this week or whatever.. so what happened was I bought a box of almond cookies at the dollar store mmmm. I ate about half the box :( however, what I did next was awesome. I did not eat anymore! So I guess I can say I went without those cookies because even though I wanted them and they were just sitting there, I told myself no numerous times. Self control ladies.. it all comes down to self control. Anywho, San Diego is coming up soon YESSSS. Therefore, I propose that we kick our own butts this week full throttle and then be more comfortable in a swimming suit. I am starting tomorrow (Monday) and I am not eating things with sugar in the ingredients, I am going to try and stay away from the starches/carbs, I am not going to eat LARGE portions, and I am going to exercise in some form or another everyday. I hope I can do this and I hope that you all will join me as we strive to better our bodies which in turn will better our lives. I love you all dearly and I want us all to be as healthy as we can in order to avoid complications later on down the road. Mmmmkay.. BYEEEE

Hey-O (this is mo)

I tracked my calories on MYPLATE about 3 days this week. I went without chocolate 1 maybe 2 days!!

I did lots of exercise including strength training workouts from a magazine (i like doing these cuz i can do them in my living room while gretta sleeps.) Its too freakin hot to go run outside and it really makes me mad. I walked around the mall a few times since there is AC in there. And the wedding I did last night made me sweat buckets from 1:00 to 10:00 straight!

I got the JOB!

So I was just emailed my "Offer of Employment". It says all this crazy stuff about a 401K and confidentiality. But most importantly it says that I will be getting $17,500 a year (part-time salary)! WOO HOO!!!!! I think I'll take the offer. Let's Celebrate :)))

Challenge #2- Haysh is 21!!!!!!



Good MONDAY Morning! Happy Freakin Birthday Hayley. We Love you so much. (i will have your present in san diego... so you will have to wait till then!)

This week we are going to try challenge #2. We did good on the 1st one, so let's keep taking these baby steps.

The challenge is 2 parts:

a. At least one day this week (hopefully more days though) WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING YOU EAT!
This should make us more aware of what we are putting in our bodies. If you want to go all out, do the calorie counter at livestrong.com  It's called MY PLATE and after you register for free it will tell you your calorie range and you can look up any food you eat and see how many calories it is. For that one day (or more), try to stay in your caloric range!

b. Pick one day to go without a food you love. For example, I'm going to choose chocolate.

Exercise!! WOO HOO (Hay)

Well... here I am checking in for the exercise challenge. I am not exactly sure what day to start on so I will say Monday was the start of it haha. Monday I ran with Mollie on the beach in Mexico and that was awesome.


Then I swam, played, etc. the rest of the day. Tuesday was the same thing except me and Mollie ran farther than the day before! I was so proud of Mollie because even though she wanted to stop, she kept going and pushed herself. I know that everyone can do more than they think they can, you just have to push yourself!

Yesterday I played in an intramural softball game but we lost :( it was the semi-finals so I was real bummed.

Then I went SKYDIVING!! It was awesome! The video from it is awesome and I cannot wait to show everyone next weekend when I come home! Woo hoo! Love you all!!!

Hey everybody! It's postin time! Well, I feel that I did exercise twice this week, that being swimming in the pool and playing with my grandkids on Sunday, Monday, and Tues. WE raced, We wrestled, We played football and all sorts of silly water things. That was the funnest exercise I have had in a LONG time, I must say!

Breakfast this Morning (Hay)

For breakfast this morning I made pancakes! I found a mix that had no sugar in it yesterday at Good Earth and I was excited. I also bought fresh blueberries to put in them and fresh, natural maple syrup to put on them. Just mix together and add vanilla and cinnamon to make them POP! Man.. they were GUDE! So moral of the story... there are good foods out there that can be eaten by us! DO IT! :) Love you..

P.S. the roses that I thought were dead, but I gave them a chance anyways and cut them back, are in full bloom and are beautiful as you can see below :)

First Challenge Is...............

So. here i am starting our "GET HEALTHY" blog. 

I have a lot of other things to be doing. Editing pix, making lesson plans, holding gretta and so forth. But one of the biggest things on my mind is how am I going to loose this 30+ lbs?! 

I know you all are saying "Don't be too hard on yourself Mollie!" And I really don't like how much I think about it. THERE FORE::::: This Blog is being made. 

I need your support and we all need each others support! This blog will help I think- IF we all contribute that is :)

I think if we all try to do small things everyday to be healthier, we will feel better about ourselves and be better mothers, wives, sisters and friends! So LET'S DO IT!

This week's (or rather the rest of this week's) challenge is: 

Exercise twice for 20 minutes!

That can't be too hard, right?!!!

We will check in with each other on Sunday to see if we accomplished our challenge!
